A truly bespoke set of installations celebrating the launch of the new John Lewis in White City – all elements sharing the theme White.
Proudly suspended in the entrance of the store, hangs the elegant trapeze artist, embellished in a dress hand-made entirely of white perfume card tabs. Her skirt which suspends from her waste hangs between two floors, creating a dramatic overhead canopy.
In addition, a life size Horse and Guard inspired by ‘The changing of the Guard’. Both horse and rider are meticulously upholstered in a variety of monochrome fabrics and metallic trimmings, creating this truly show stopping display of the stores carpets and interior finishing’s.
Micro wire lights hang delicately in sequence through the stores walkways creating a festive and ambient setting. Mini gel pockets in bands of both red and rainbow embellish the lighting for a unique John Lewis signature.
The flagships Christmas Market included a forest of illuminated trees in red, green and gold with additional creative displays using the stores special array of Baubles – highlighting the markets rainbow theme throughout.
Launching alongside the Chelsea Flower Show and in celebration of the Queen’s 90th Birthday, this floral wonderland was created for House of Fraser’s flagship Oxford Street store.
A canopy of peonies, roses and wisteria was set against a moss-clad backdrop to capture the colours of early English summer. The display continued externally with wisteria used to decorate awnings above the window.
Inspired by the town’s Royal Armouries, these full scale sculptures were designed for the launch of John Lewis in Leeds.
Each intricate suit of armour was upholstered by hand using the in-store range of carpets and trimmings. In contrast to the carefully layered fabrics and textured frills, burnished metallic studs hinted at the knights’ traditional origins.
Cascading between two floors, this vibrant kaleidoscope was designed to celebrate the opening of John Lewis in Leeds.
The bespoke installation featured mannequins sprayed in an ombré from white to bronze, flying through an array of laser-cut butterflies; each one crafted and coloured to reflect the excitement accompanying the store’s launch.
This elegant window and in-store display was rolled out across the UK and US for Space NK and all Bloomingdales concessions.
The installation featured soft ribbon fringing draped artfully from acrylic grids and cutting geometrically through clear acrylic plinths. In-store, table runners were crafted to express a waterfall effect and allow ribbon to flow across tiered product tables.
Spring/Summer Press Event
Invoking the majestic pine forests of Laponia, the Molton Brown Christmas installation was filled with eye-catching theatrical flourishes.
Glittered tree bark, snow-laden branches and flickering candlelight captured the magic and folklore of the Swedish Christmas tradition. Rolled out across the UK and abroad, the flagship store featured textured window cladding, handmade from sprigs of pine.
Rolled out to 1200 stores internationally, the Accessorize Christmas installation was designed to foreground some of the brand’s smaller festive products.
Wooden bird boxes, feathered owls and artificial snow accompanied winter accessories in a display characterised by wonderfully contrasting textures. Glitter trees adorned with bracelets, earrings and other trinkets lent the windows an understated icy sheen.
A Sarah Feather Design project through design, development and production, the John Lewis Christmas VM scheme was rolled out to 46 stores across the UK.
Imitation silver birch branches were delicately embellished with copper leaf detailing and flocked foliage. Paper discs coated in white glitter and copper foil were hung in lengths from each bough, creating a shimmering curtain of snowflakes.
Diptyque Fragrance Launch - National Roll Out
Featuring in 46 stores across the UK, this high impact window display was inspired by the concept, ‘dedicated to design, devoted to quality. Luxury redefined’.
Oversized fabric ‘peel backs’ were created to illustrate the quality of design associated with John Lewis. Luxury rectangular panels of suede and felt were backed in striking metallics, specially designed to maximise impact in long stretch windows.
This elaborate window display was rolled out across the UK and internationally for Molton Brown’s Mother’s Day celebrations.
Hundreds of bespoke, hand-finished desserts were created to showcase their collaboration with pastry chef, Sarah Barber. The flagship store featured a patisserie bar finished in opulent gold and marble, beautifully emphasising the synergy between dessert and fragrance.
John Lewis in collaboration with inspiring illustrator Paul Thurlby, create imaginative imagery in celebration of Britains National Treasures including a day at the seaside and a walk in the park.
The stores are lined with life size cut out characters and exploded scenes for an exciting and interactive experience.
